Jesse Casler

Interim CEO

Jesse was voted into the interim CEO role by the ASSETS’ Board in early January 2022. Jesse serves as the Chief Operating Officer at HOPE International, a faith-based non-profit microfinance network based in Lancaster, PA. As the current Chief Operations Officer of HOPE International, Jesse is taking a study leave from HOPE to lead this transitional time for ASSETS while the Board conducts a formal CEO search. As ASSETS’ former Board Chair, Jesse knows the organization and staff well; his background in economic development and nonprofit leadership make him highly qualified to lead the team. He has a B.A. from Eastern Nazarene College and both an M.A. and an MBA from Boston University. Prior to and during his graduate work, Jesse gained experience in international banking at State Street Corporation’s international headquarters in Massachusetts and later at a subsidiary of Advent Software. He has traveled extensively throughout Eastern Europe, Africa, Asia, and Latin America working in the finance, operations, and administration teams while at HOPE. Jesse serves on the board of the Accord Network based in Washington, D.C. and on the board of Urwego Bank in Rwanda. He has a passion for seeing Lancaster become an equitable, ethical, and prosperous economy that works for everyone. Jesse and his wife, Krista, live in Lancaster with their two children and are members of West End Mennonite Fellowship in downtown Lancaster.
